Finals week and break

I am glad that finals are finally over and that break has started. For the most part the finals were easy except for some of them, such as Chemsitry. I am glad that it's almost Christmas and new years. I hope this break doesn't go by fast.

Gunderson basketball

We have a game tommarow at willow glen at 5:00. It's our first away game this preseason. Also january is coming up which means that our season is going to start soon.

Valley Christian game

We lost badly against VC on Thursday at home. that was probably the best team we have played so far. Although it has alot to do with the fact that they had 5 or more juniors on their team.

Slow day

Today is going by real slowly. I am bored and there is no one at my house. My parents went to Sacremento and left me to watch the house. Also there isn't anything good to watch on T.V.

Finals

I am nervous about finals. I am especially nervous about the chemistry and math final. I can't wait to just get them over with and then go on break. I also can't wait till it's christmas and new year.

basketball games

We have two games coming up this week. On tuesday we play Milpitas and on Thursday we play Valley Christian. I think Valley Christian is gonna be the toughest team we play this whole season. I hope we do well.

New Year and Christmas

I can't wait until Christmas and New Years. Some of my family from Europe is coming to America for Christmas so i will be spending alot of time with them. I also can't beleive the year went by this fast.

Boo Radley (TKAM)

I think that it was kinda weird to only have Boo Radley at the end of the story. Harper Lee should have at least gave him a couple more appearances in the middle or something.

Gunderson vs. Thurgood Marshall (basketball)

We played Thurgood Marshall on wednesday at home. We beat them as our second game in preseason. We only have a couple more games left in preaseason before we start off the season games.

thanksgiving

I had alot of fun on Thanksgiving. Alot of my cousins came over and my grandparents. I'm kinda mad that it's over so quick though. I can't wait till christmas and new year.

Tkam Book vs. Movie

I think that the book makes it seem alot more interesting than the movie. The movie leaves out alot of the important parts that are in the book. Also the black and white color of the movie makes it more boring.

First basketball game

We had our first basketball game last week against Homestead. I don't even want to mention the score because we lost really bad. I hope we do better in our next game

To kill a mockingbird chp 24

It must be bad living in a small town like maycomb. Theres only one sheriff and the closest fire department is far away. Also there probably isn't alot of stores in the area to get stuff.

good day today

I'm having a good day so far today. I got alot of stuff done so far. I hope that it stays as good as it has been so far.

Basketball season

Basketball season is startying again. i can barely wait until we start playing actual games instead of just practicing. I want to get better this season.

To kill a mockingbird (court trial)

I think it's stupid how someone can get tried for rape in Maycomb without any real evidence except for one or two witnesses. This is unfair and it shows how bad the Court is in Maycomb.

Football season

I think this season finsihed pretty good. We had more wins than we had losses. I can't wait till football starts again next year.

Gunderson Vs. Evergreen

We played Evergreen on thursday in our last football game of this season. It was probably one of the most exciting games we have played. Sadly wedidn't win, we tied 22-22. Our final record is 4-2-1.

Bad day

I feel sick, i'm probablly gonna be in bed most of the day. I'm glad that we dont have school on Tuesday though...

Chapters 14-15

I think that these chapters of "to kill a mockingbird" were probably the best, because theres alot of stuff that happens like dill running away and Atticus protecting tom at the jail.

Gunderson vs Santa Teresa football

We lost on friday against Santa Teresa. Our record is now 4-2. Our last game will be on Thursday against evergreen.

To kill a mockingbird (3)

In Chapter 9 of "To Kill a Mockingbird" Scout is having a problem controlling her own pride. She wants to listen to her father but gets mad everytime someone says something bad about him. She beats up her cousin when he says that Atticus is an embarrasment. She then beleives that he will be very dissapointed in her.

Gunderson vs. Branham football

We played Branham on Thursday as our 5th season game. We beat them 27-0. Varsity lost to them though. Our record is now 4-1 in Season. Our next game is at home against Santa Teresa this coming Friday.

My Old Neighbor

While reading about Boo Radley in "To Kill A Mockingbird" I remembered an old neighbor i use to have that was kind of like Boo in a way. I never saw him come out of his house except maybe twice. The few times i did see him he never said a word.

Football

We played Sobrato on Friday, 10/24/08. We beat them 13-10, and are now 3-1 in season. We play Branham on Thursday.

To kill a mockingbird (2)

I think that chapters 5-8 are better than the first 4 chapters of the book. They seem to make more sence to me and i can actually understand whats going on. In the first few chapters there's too much different stuff going on and theres alot of different characters.

laptops

I think that iits stupid that some people at gunderson cant even get laptops such as seniors. The laptops are one of the things that Gunderson is known for.

to kill a mocking bird

the book "to kill a mockingbird" is about a girl and her brother who live in Maycomb Alabama with their father Atticus. The two kids meet Dill a new kid in the neighborhood. the three kids are scared of a ghost the lives in a house near them.

Gunderson Vs. Independance football

We got the first loss of the season on friday against independance. The score was 37 - 12. We are now 2-1 in season.

My family's traditions

One of my family's traditions is every sunday me and my parents visit my grandma at her house and have lunch there. We also go to the graveyard to see my grandpa's grave. Another tradition is that my mom cooks traditional food from my country every wednesday. 

Homecoming game

This week i heard that the night rally will be during our homecoming game vs. Del Mar next week. Not only will this make it so the J.V. team can't go to the rally but also more people will go to the rally than our game.

Gunderson Vs. Prospect

We came back from a 14-22 defecit during halftime and ended up beating Prospect 28-22 on their home field this friday. It was a good game.

Vice prez. debate

I thought that this vice presidential debate was interesting. They focused on the issues and talked about each other alot. One thing i didn't like though is how Palin didn't answer alot of the questions that were asked. This makes me think that she is too inexperienced.

Things i like to do

Some things i like to do in my spare time include, hanging out with friends, playing football, basketball or video games or swimming. One my favorite things to do is learn different languages (I dont know why, so don't ask). So far i can speak 3 fluently: English, Yugoslavian and French. I also know how to speak a little bit of Russian, Italian, Slovenian and a couple words in Spanish.

Football practice

Alot of people skipped football practice today, and some people are even thinking of quitting the team. i am one of those people. I had an excuse why i didnt go to practice but even if i didnt i still probably wouldnt have went. Alot of people on the team don't like the coaches and how they make us run alot during practice. I really don't mind the coaching, I just don't feel like doing 100 grass drills everyday.

Antigone quote

"We can think and act together" is the quote I think explains who Antigone is in this story. It shows that she wants her sister to help her with the burial of their brother. This shows that she loves and respects her family. It also shows that she doesn't like doing things alone.

Antigone

Today for homework i read Antigone. It's a story about the daughter of Oedipus and what happens after Oedipus' death. Creon has become the king of Thebes after the two sons of Oedipus kill each other in a war to claim the throne. Creon doesn't allow one of the brothers to be buried becuase he was a rebel. Antigone thinks this is wrong because she loves her brother and wants him to have a proper and respectful burial.

Oedipus

Oedipus is a book about a king of Thebes named Oedipus who fulfills a prophecy in which he kills his father and marries his mother. Oedipus becomes king of Thebes after his father is killed and after he defeats the sphinx. Although no one knows he killed his father (neither does he) they are given that idea when a blind prophet tells him that he is the murderer. His mother/wife tells him that thats impossible because in another prophecy the son of the king was suppose to kill him but the king got rid of the son a long time ago.

2nd blog post

In my 5th period English class we are watching a show called "My So Called Life". It's a show set in the mid nineties about a girl named Angela Chase. The show is mostly about her everyday life and how she deals with her parents, friends and teachers. Her best friend is Rayanne, She is wild and isn't responsible. hangs out with Rayanne to have some fun and escape her "boring" life.
